Backups, export and deletion

A local backup, an account data export and account deletion are three different actions. Before deleting anything, check which version of the app you are using.

Local backup in the mobile app

Under Settings → Local backup, you can export your local system as a JSON file and store it safely. This export works independently of cloud sync.

Importing overwrites local data on the current device, so the app asks for confirmation. Restoring a local backup is included in Lifetime and Pro. Store the file somewhere only you can access.

Export account data

In the web app settings, you can download your stored account data as a JSON file. This export is intended for data portability and does not use the same format as a local device backup.

Delete an account

Deleting your account removes the account and its app data from the active database. The app requires a safety confirmation before the final deletion.

This does not always cancel a subscription with the payment provider automatically:

  • Manage a web subscription on the cancel subscription page.
  • Manage an Apple purchase in your Apple ID subscription settings.
  • Manage a future Google Play purchase in Google Play.

If you only want to stop renewal, do not delete your account prematurely. If you are only changing devices, create a backup or confirm that sync has completed first.

Privacy and your data explains how data is stored.
