Install the app and enable push notifications

meinsystem runs in your browser, but you can install it on your phone or computer like a regular app. You then open it from an icon instead of the browser address bar. Push notifications—such as appointment reminders and routine start reminders—work most reliably when the app is installed.

First sign in at meinsystem.app and open the dashboard (/en/dashboard/home). It is best to start the installation from there.

Quick overview

iPhone or iPadSafari (important)Share → Add to Home Screen
AndroidChrome (recommended)Menu → Install app
Mac or WindowsChrome or EdgeAddress bar: Install, or Menu → Install app
MacSafariFile → Add to Dock

iPhone and iPad (iOS)

On iPhone and iPad, installation works only in Safari, not in Chrome or Firefox.

  1. Open Safari and go to meinsystem.app.
  2. Sign in and open your dashboard.
  3. Tap Share at the bottom—the square with an upward arrow.
  4. Choose Add to Home Screen.
  5. Confirm by tapping Add.

The icon will appear on your Home Screen. From now on, open meinsystem from this icon, not from a bookmark in a Safari tab. This is what allows the site to behave like an installed app and enables reliable push notifications on iOS.

Push on iOS: After installing, open Settings in the app, choose Notifications, select Enable, and allow notifications when iOS asks. Push notifications often do not arrive if you use the app only in a Safari tab.

Android

Chrome is the simplest option:

  1. Open meinsystem.app in Chrome and sign in.
  2. Tap in the top-right corner.
  3. Choose Install app or Add to Home screen. The wording can vary by device.
  4. Confirm the installation.

You may also see an “Install app” banner at the bottom of the screen. Tapping it is enough.

Push on Android: Install the app—or allow notifications in Chrome—then open Settings, choose Notifications, and select Enable.

Computer (desktop)

Chrome or Microsoft Edge on Windows, Mac or Linux

  1. Open meinsystem.app and sign in.
  2. An Install icon often appears on the right side of the address bar. Select it.
  3. If you do not see it, open the menu and choose Install meinsystem… or Install app.

The app opens in its own window without browser tabs, much like a desktop app.

Safari on Mac

  1. Open meinsystem in Safari and sign in.
  2. Choose File → Add to Dock on recent macOS versions, or Share → Add to Dock.

Set up push notifications

Push notifications can remind you about appointments shortly before they begin and about the start of routines at their configured start time.

  1. Install the app as described above. This is especially important on phones.
  2. In meinsystem, open Settings using the gear icon in the dashboard.
  3. In Notifications, select Enable.
  4. Choose Allow in the browser or system dialog.
  5. You can then switch Appointment reminders and Routine start reminders on or off separately.

Each device—phone, laptop or second phone—must be enabled once on that device. The permission applies only to the device you are currently using.

If it does not work

“Your browser does not support push notifications.”
Try another browser: Chrome or Edge on desktop; on iPhone, use Safari and install the app on the Home Screen.

You previously blocked notifications.
Allow notifications in your browser settings or under iOS Settings → Notifications → meinsystem. Then select Enable again in the app.

Nothing arrives on iPhone.
Make sure you are opening the app from its Home Screen icon, not in a Safari tab. If necessary, install it again using Safari.

The Install option is missing on desktop.
Reload the page while signed in. The option sometimes appears only after a second visit. Use Chrome or Edge and leave private browsing mode.

Push used to work but no longer does.
In Settings, briefly select Disable, then Enable again. Check that the app is still installed and its icon is present on the Home Screen or in the Start menu.
